SERVICES

Hot Meals

Volunteers deliver hot, medically supervised meals to Salem County residents each Monday through Friday, including holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Supper Meals

In addition to the hot meal, volunteers deliver cold, medically supervised supper meals to Salem County residents. These individuals need a little more assistance in preparing meals.

Frozen Meals

Frozen meals are delivered by volunteers to Salem County residents once each week. Recipients of this program are screened to ensure they have the means of heating up a frozen meal.

Weekend Meals

This program began in 1997 to help sustain the frailest individuals during weekends when no other assistance was available. Volunteers deliver a hot meal for Saturday and a frozen or cold meal to utilize on Sunday. Most weekend recipients receive the supper meal for a total of four meals each weekend.

Emergency Meals

Meals on Wheels delivers five shelf stable meals to each client in late fall and again in early winter in the event there is a snow or other emergency that would prevent volunteers from delivering meals. In the event of such an emergency, each client is called to ensure that they are safe.
