Meals On WheelsMaking a difference...
one meal at a time

Meals on Wheels of Salem County, New Jersey delivers nutritious meals to elderly and disabled county residents who cannot shop for or prepare meals due to physical or mental limitations. Our main focus has always been on the importance of nutrition for those who are chronically ill and confined primarily to their homes due to illness or advancing age.

In 2012, we are celebrating our 35th anniversary! Thirty-five years of continuous service to Salem County senior citizens is a tremendous milestone. Thousands of volunteers, along with many businesses, government agencies, and concerned community members enabled Meals on Wheels to serve more than 1.26 million meals since 1977. We are extremely grateful.

We will mark our 35th year by holding a special celebration and benefit for our clients on March 29, 2012. You can help us continue to bring our program to deserving Salem County residents by supporting our efforts in a couple of ways: attend and/or sponsor our 35th Anniversary Celebration, volunteer to deliver meals to our clients or provide financial support during our month-long March for Meals campaign.

We also hope you will join us in partnering with Meals on Wheels Association of America and take the Pledge to "End Senior Hunger by 2020". Click here to learn more about Meals on Wheels and our services or call 856-935-3663.

On behalf of our Board of Trustees and staff, thank you for your ongoing support. Be sure to let us know if one of your family members, friends or neighbors may need our services.

Giant Pumpkin CarveSee pictures from our 15th Anniversary Giant Pumpkin Carve where giant pumpkins were turned into works of art when amateur and professional artists carved their gourds. Learn who won prizes, too! Our Giant Pumpkin Carve is Meals on Wheels main annual fundraiser. Thanks to our more than 60 sponsors and donors, as well as about 4,500 attendees, Meals on Wheels nearly reached our Giant Pumpkin Carve fundraising goal to help feed senior citizens and disabled residents.
